Hono Izakaya in Quebec Underwent a Luxe Modern Renovation

Local design studio Charlene Bourgeois recently completed a large renovation on the hotspot restaurant, Hono Izakaya. Now featuring a modern wood-framed structure and unique yet minimalist lines, the restaurant delicately pairs design with menu.

Set in the historic Quebec City, the design team decided to preserve as many original and classic features as possible while still offering an updated dining option for both locals and tourists. By adding a light and clean color scheme to pair with the wooden features, the space now looks larger than life with sprawling ceilings and an open dining room. Pops of color add excitement to the room with red stool stops and large plants placed all around.

By opening up the kitchen to the public Charlene Bourgeois turned Hono Izakaya from a closed off restaurant into a one-of-a-kind intimate dining experience.
