Chic Renovated Historic Homes

The Historic Canal House Has a Contemporary Interior Decor

Designed by Remy Meijers, the Historic Canal House is a historic structure with a contemporary interior design. The home, located in Utrecht, the Netherlands, also has an air of elegance and style.

The designer says the home is a place where "history meets the present day" and it is "situated just a stone’s throw away from the centre of the city of Utrecht. The seventeenth-century property which houses a home and an office has been brought right up to date while retaining the building’s historical features."

In the home there is a great sense of spaciousness especially in the hallways, living room, office and bathroom. The staircase is beautiful and rests beside a large window that offers natural light and a nice view.
