This herringbone wood cabinet was made by the Baroli Design studio for Laurameroni's limited edition sideboard collection. Its features a mix of woods, using Eucalyptus, Oak and Tay pieces that are wrapped together to mimic the look of twill fabric.
The piece uses vertical, diagonal and sideways lines to produce an effect that looks like the wood has slats within it. In reality, there are no holes at all but rather just a juxtaposition of different colored woods to make it look that way. The herringbone wood is creatively designed to give the furniture piece a unique graphic style.
Functional as well, the cabinet features two doors that reveal a set of large and small shelves with two drawers to keep some items hidden. Even the cabinet's stands are unique, featuring a dark metal that contrasts the lighter wood in an inward-facing half-hexagonal shape.
