Jimi Hendrix's London Home Will Be Recreated as a Museum

Jimi Hendrix's London home will soon be permanently converted into a museum. The historic space has been occupied as a gallery by the Handel House Trust, but now the house will exclusively feature memorabilia from the rock star. The house underwent over $3.5 million in renovations using funds from the Heritage Lottery Fund and private donors.

The newly restored house will be recreated to resemble the late 60s version of Hendrix's London home. Through extensive research from the late singer's friends as well as tenants of the building, the museum will essentially act as a time machine back to Hendrix's heyday.

Pictures of Hendrix in the home and hanging out in the area will also be on display, along with original exhibits including an Epiphone acoustic guitar that Hendrix used to play.
