The public exhibit was created by a full team of artists and took about two months to complete. Given the complexity of the project, two months seems like very little. The purpose of the surprise exhibit was to mark the launch of David Attenborough’s TV series Natural Curiosities and this certainly is a curious way to do it.
The giant hedgehog statue is made of coconut fibers and willows and comprises 2,000 spines. If one was looking for a realistic hedgehog statue this would be the closest thing to it, except for the fact that it’s bigger than a human being of course.
