Heartbeat Identification Bracelets

Nymi Bracelets Use Your Heartbeat to Unlock Your Device

Toronto company Bionym has introduced the Nymi bracelet, which uses your heartbeat to unlock your personal devices. The company has proposed this idea in place of traditional passwords, for both convenience (ever have trouble remembering multiple passwords?), and rising reports of cybercrime in recent years.

The bracelet uses the individual's electrocardiogram (EKG) -- which is unique to each person -- encoded within the bracelet itself. After installing the Nymi app, Nymi bracelets can then be used to unlock your personal devices with the pairing of Bluetooth.

The Nymi bracelet will be priced at $99, but the first 25,000 customers to pre-order can purchase the bracelet for the surprisingly affordable price of $79.
