Brain-Screening Helmets

The Revolutionary Head Impact Detection and Alert System

The Head Impact Detection and Alert System is a revolutionary technological sensor device that is able to scan for the severity of brain damage. Made specifically for skiers and snowboarders, the helmet was created by students Cyril Blank, Matthew Jamula, Diego Nevado, Ross Parker, Tadas Vaisvila and their professor, Sinan Muftu at Northeastern University.

Still a prototype, this helmet could potentially save lives in the future because of the fact that if certain mild head injuries are left untreated, they can become more severe than expected.
