Ukrainian designer Anastasiya Dudik has designed the HATA holiday home in California. It is a domed building with white concrete materials detailed with porthole-like windows. It is nestled in the desert of Pioneertown, which is known for its wild west film sets. She drew inspiration from her past -- memories of Soviet brutalism and California's futuristic aesthetics, resulting in a domed architecture.
Dudik explains, "The core concept was 'future primitive' – a return to organic, ancestral forms through a futuristic lens. Inspired by the natural curves of the surrounding desert landscape, the design was meant to feel both ancient and otherworldly. It's a sculptural, earth-integrated structure that invites a slower, more connected way of being - at once deeply rooted and forward-looking."
