Wizardly Home Tours

Warner Bros. is Opening Up the Dursley's as Part of Its Harry Potter Tour

Warner Bros. is opening up a crucial component of one of the most well-known movie sets to give fans a more in-depth Harry Potter tour experience. To Potter fans, the address "number 4 Privet Drive" can be recited off by heart. The address is that of the Dursley family, the place that inhabited Harry’s vile aunt, uncle and cousin Dudley. The gaudy home has an iconic decor, reflective of Aunt Petunia's personal style, as well as multiple bedrooms for Dudley and his copious belongings -- while Harry was forced to sleep under the cramped staircase before his wizardly power gave him some serious persuasion.

Although only the living room of the house will be opened to the public, this stop on the Harry Potter tour will pay homage to the first book of the series, 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone,' as well as mark the 15th anniversary of the film. As fans of the books and movies know, this was when Harry was sent his letters from Hogwarts and was finally able to leave the abusive household. This scene is displayed in the set, with dozens of letters flying from the fireplace addressed to the young wizard.
