The Halo Duck IV Bag Brings a Soft Quality to an Uncomfortable Device

There is absolutely nothing pleasant about being hooked up to an IV pump at an infirmary, so the Halo Duck IV Bag was developed to alleviate the situation at least slightly. With kids in mind particularly, Jung Hyun Min strove to redesign this piece of medical equipment with a more whimsical element to it.

The intravenous saline sack has been enhanced with the integration of a bubble inside. This small transparent sphere encapsulates the form of a yellow rubber ducky, bobbing around on top of the fluid mixture. While the child is forced to remain still within a hospital bed, he or she can watch the wonderful widget. When the Halo Duck IV Bag has depleted, the ball plugs the opening and prevents any blood from running backwards up the tube.
