Self-Driving Guidance Suitcases

The Conceptual 'Guide' Suitcase Aids Those with Visual Impairments

The conceptual 'Guide' suitcase is a helpful piece of travel equipment for those with visual impairments to aid them when traversing airports, new cities and beyond. Designed by Cheolsu Park, the suitcase features a self-driving capability that is achieved thanks to four cameras that are constantly scanning the environment total in the surrounding area. The information gathered is then translated to the users via the braille bar on the handle to let them know if they are approaching an intersection, sights in the midst and beyond.

The conceptual 'Guide' suitcase could help to greatly increase the capabilities of those with visual impairments to let them travel freely without having to feel apprehensive about finding their way in a new environment.
