MUT Design Designs the Textural GIRO Rug Series for GAN

Venetian design studio MUT Design creates the new GIRO series of rugs for GAN and it highlights colorful looks that play with geometry and textures.

The founders of MUT Design talk about the new capsule, noting that "GIRO it’s a bit like the Möbius strip; it’s a simple shape that, when twisted, creates a sense of energy, as well as rich and powerful visual effects. We really like to play with textures and varying levels of depth, as well as with perspective and basic geometric patterns because they result in designs with a lot of movement and bring a playful touch to concepts that are in theory quite simple." The design of GIRO is meant to create optical illusions based on mathematical curves that are presented by layers of textures. There are two versions of the series -- a long and curved rug or a larger rug with a twisted structure.
