The National Building Museum is hosting a giant ball pit that is actually an interactive art installation. This giant ball pit represents a re-imagined beachfront with the ocean made of out of 1 million polyethylene balls.
Design firm Snarkitecture called its installation 'The BEACH.' Every inch of the 10,000 square-foot museum space is covered in white beach-themed accessories. The re-invented water is of course the best part of the interactive art because it is essentially a ball pit for adults. Guests are encouraged to play and frolic just as they would at a real beach. The furthest end of the space features a floor to ceiling mirror that gives the illusion of a never-ending waterfront.
The installation also incorporates beach chairs for lounging and umbrellas are set up along the fake shoreline to complete the summer scene.
