ZMMA Transforms the Thomas Gainsborough House into a Gallery

London design studio ZMMA transforms the Gainsborough House in Sudbury, Suffolk into a gallery and museum. The space was home to artist Thomas Gainsborough and it is full of his landscape paintings. Thomas was born in 1727 and spent his childhood growing up in Sudbury before moving to London to broaden his art career. The space has four gallery spaces with a flexible area that is open to hosting events.

Mark Bills, the museum's director explains how it will become a staple space in the community, noting that "The physical transformation of Gainsborough's house will fundamentally change this historic site, enabling it to become an international centre for Gainsborough and a cultural hub in the heart of East Anglia."
