Further Hotel Blends Village Scale and Modern Minimalism in Bali

The Further Hotel brings diffused hospitality to rural Bali by arranging ten terracotta-toned suites across several low buildings integrated into the village of Pererenan. The project by MORQ uses textured plaster, brick screens and concrete planes to create a warm architectural language that blends into the surrounding landscape. Interiors by Studio Wenden focus on natural materials such as timber, stone, and iron while keeping spaces open and calm through a restrained palette. Guest rooms include outdoor-style bathrooms, private terraces, and simple layouts that emphasise airflow and natural light.

The hotel extends across local streets rather than a single enclosed compound, encouraging guests to move between suites, gardens and shared functions as part of the daily rhythm of the village. Amenities include a rooftop pool, a compact bistro, a café, and a small retail space that supports surf culture in the area.
