LOOP Mission's Juices Give New Life to Misfit Produce

The founders of LOOP Mission identified an opportunity to create a manufacturing facility on the property of a major produce distributor and make use of misfit produce in its vibrant fruit juices. Now, LOOP Mission uses 16 tons of less-than-perfect fruit and vegetables a day that would have otherwise gone to waste.

Some of the flavorful products offered by the brand include Morning Glory, made with orange, clementine and strawberry, and Easy Peasy, which makes use of neglected celery stalks and turns them into cold-pressed juice.

As well as minimizing food waste with its own products, LOOP Mission also addresses the waste within its own stream by upcycling juice pulp into dog treats and pizza crusts.
