Ice-Covered Habitats

Japan's Frozen Aquarium 'Kori no Suizokukan' Features the Chilliest Animals

Japan has been unlucky for the summer of 2010 because the country got hit by a massive heatwave. But instead of letting the heat get them down, they have come up with a fun way to keep cool. Instead of having a regular aquarium, they have a frozen aquarium to help them cool down.

The 'Kori no Suizokukan' frozen aquarium has different animals on display, but the animals are frozen in ice blocks. This aquarium has over 80 marine life animals and 450 frozen specimen. Guests are required to wear a special suit when entering this place due to the fact that the surrounding area is very cold.
