Multidisciplinary artist and designer Aimée Wilder unveils her latest work in the form of the Frequency collection. It is an adaptation of her Shadow Wilding series, which is made up of large-format silk screen art. Frequency is made up of tile designs that play with patterns and colors made to be suitable for today's modern spaces.
The inspiration behind the tiles stems from a plethora of theories and forms including positive and negative space, tesselation, curves, color relationships, and more. She shares, "It was a wonderful artistic practice to adapt my Shadow Wildling series to a tile format meant for large area application. Along the way, I found ways to make the tile patterns practical – with up to four pattern options for each design and expanding our palette to introduce that meet the needs of commercial and residential projects alike."
