India-based multinational company Infosys, which specializes in software, information technology and business consulting, is set to erect the world's tallest free-standing clock tower at its campus in the palace city of Mysuru (Mysore) in the province of Karnataka in southern India.
This free-standing clock tower is set to occupy a physical footprint of 22 x 22 meters and will rise up to a height of 135 meters, making it comfortably the world's tallest free-standing clock tower. The 19-story tower will be constructed by Hafeez Contractor. The tower will be built in Neo-Gothic style and will bear a resemblance to the much shorter Big Ben.
This free-standing clock tower will combine traditional Neo-Gothic aesthetics with modern features such as a digital face clock and message-displaying screens, making it a unique addition to the Mysuru skyline.
