O2’s Free Wifi Spot Provides Tons of Internet Coverage

The UK’s largest umbrella also doubles as a free wifi spot that spans an incredible distance of 19’ in both directions.

The beautiful installation is set up in Canary Wharf, made up of over 500 individual umbrellas. By setting up this gigantic wifi-sharing sculpture, O2 is able to supply Internet access to four shopping malls, 240 cafes, bars, restaurants as well as 20 acres of park.

As if getting free wifi from O2 isn’t a sweet enough deal, people who use the "keepyoucovered" hashtag for the photos and tweets they share have the chance to win tickets to the QBE Internationals on November 9th. But this will be a tough competition, since over 1.2 million people are expected to pass through the free wifi spot over the next two weeks.
