Freak [X] Introduces a New 41mm Case and Un-232 Movement

Freak [X] is the latest evolution of Ulysse Nardin's unconventional watch collection, released to mark the brand's 180th anniversary and 25 years of the Freak line. The new model introduces a reduced 41mm case size and a newly developed in-house UN-232 caliber. Available in either 80 percent recycled steel or rose gold, the watch retains the collection's signature flying carousel architecture, where the movement itself rotates to indicate the time. A redesigned monobloc case and glassbox sapphire crystal further update the platform while maintaining the visual identity of the original concept.

The UN-232 caliber features 27 jewels, a DIAMonSIL escapement, an oversized silicon balance wheel, and a rose gold micro-rotor. The automatic movement delivers a 72-hour power reserve and is paired with a screw-down crown that provides water resistance to 100 metres. Three launch versions are available, including grey and blue recycled steel models and a rose gold edition with a black sandblasted hour disc.
