Transitional Space Canopies

Fran Silvestre Firm Builds a Design Influenced by Mediterranean Style

Fran Silvestre architecture firm has put together a canopy influenced by Mediterranean style. According to DesignBoom, the design "references the low-weight pergolas and porticated structures traditionally used in mediterranean cultures."

The design is meant to be used for a number of different purposes, including a place to find relief from the shade, or even somewhere that's easy to meet with other people. Since it's placed as part of a restaurant, it can also be used as extra space for the business. It offers customers a new way to experience the food here, since it's so close to the street. It's not often that one dines while cars go racing past, which would be quite the way to enjoy dinner. Photo Credits: designboom, fransilvestrenavarro
