Fortune 500 Web sites have a distinctive design that is able to draw and maintain a certain level of online traffic to their domains. With simplicity in mind, these sites have created their homepages without forgetting who their users are.
Keeping the presentation to a minimum, the overall site is clean, yet engaging, making it easy for the viewer to navigate. While not every domain is the same, many of the Fortune 500 websites have a similar layout for their homepage with 93% of them having logos on the top left corner, 27% of which contain a tagline or slogan beneath it. Using a lighter color scheme is beneficial as well, though other surveys have shown that black resonates a sense of prestige, confidence and trust from the consumer.
