Sainsbury's Food Rescue Powered by Google Helps Reduce Food Waste

Sainsbury's partnered with Google for the creation of 'Food Rescue,' a tool designed to help reduce the amount of food that's wasted per household. It's estimated that about £60 of the groceries people buy in the UK on a monthly basis end up uneaten and in the trash, but something like Food Rescue could help save you money and spare food from being wasted.

To use Food Rescue, you simply speak the name of a food that you have on hand and would like to use up. Typing in a single keyword will instantly bring up a variety of recipes that you could use that ingredient in, and you're also able to refine your searches by adding additional ingredients or specifying something to leave out of the recipe.
