The Pittsburgh Penguins are testing out a food pickup system from Chekt that gives fans the ability to select and order food and beverage items from an exclusive menu, straight from their seats, and pick up their ordered items from one of 24 dual-chamber, temperature-controlled food lockers.
Thanks to these convenient pickup lockers, sports fans can order everything from truffle buffalo chicken tenders to beer and canned cocktails with newfound ease. Alicia Woznicki, the vice president of design and development at Aramark Sports and Entertainment, identifies, "consumer preferences continue to evolve—leaning towards faster, on-demand, and contactless self-service models."
