Chris Wolston Designs the Flower Power Furniture Series

Medellín-based American designer Chris Wolston unveils a new solo exhibition that showcases the new Flower Power series. It is launched by The Future Perfect as a part of NYCxDesign 2023 -- the capsule is made up of a range of furniture and lighting that are all made in a terracotta tone. The collection is made up of 13 sculptural chairs and benches that are designed with inspiration from tropical florals that are seen in the mountains.

Wolston explains that "The ‘flower power’ movement and its ideals – universal belonging, peace, love, unity, respect – are sentiments that I hope resonate throughout my work. We still see the offering of flowers as a gesture of peacemaking. Flowers are more than an olive branch – they stop you dead in your tracks, and force you to reconsider your relationship to the world around you."
