Dolce & Gabbana's Flagship Store in Rome Has a Digital Frecso

Dolce & Gabbana recently introduced a new flagship store in Rome and the site is one that pays tribute to the Vatican city’s unique history and architecture. The modern luxury fashion store boasts digital walls that create a dynamic fresco element, plus 59 columns and 15 different types of marble within the 800 square meter store.

The highlight of the two-level luxury flagship store is the ceiling that digitally updates Paul Troger’s 18th-century fresco and references one of the most well-known parts of the iconic Sistine chapel. As well as being able to look up and see images of animated people and cherubs in the sky, visitors will also be treated to an ever-changing sky that creates an illuson that makes it seem as if there is actually no ceiling at all within the store.
