The Fendi Spring 2012 Collection Brings Back Italian Glamor

Although Fendi has always lacked, in my opinion, the sophistication and glamor of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld incorporated the subtle sexiness of his other label into the Fendi Spring 2012 collection.

Debuting super-oversize sunglasses in pastel shades to stay right on season, Karl Lagerfeld introduced a level of sophistication that is rarely seen at the brand during the Fendi Spring 2012 show.

The models walked down the runway with eye makeup in bright gold shades that peeked out of their sunglasses, adding an almost cartoon-ish, animated look. The silhouettes were less overtly sensual than usual, with high, narrow waists and skirts that flare out at the knee.

Most notably, the Fendi Spring 2012 collection debuted cut-out shoulders as the new "it" look of the season, surely much to the delight of conservative women everywhere.
