The Felix app is a well-being system designed specifically for workers in the public sector. The government is a giant organization, and public sector workers can often get demoralized feeling as though they're cogs in a machine rather than people working to improve the lives of others. Brave UX's Felix app attempts to improve and humanize the experience of government work.
Built as a project for Federal Occupational Health, or FOH, the app uses gamification to improve the mental and physical health of public sector workers. But more than simply putting achievements on a list, the Felix app relies on research and data. Felix uses a "challenge-based model" that incorporates feedback throughout the work process. It also lets users join groups like "hiking" or "biking" to get in touch with others and stay physically healthy.
