Byredo Launches the Romantic Fall-Ready 'Eyes Closed' Eau de Parfum

Byredo has launched its new ‘Eyes Closed’ fragrance, an offering inspired by the work of British photographer Alasdair McLellan. The fragrance, which is described as one that "configures a world where love eclipses all difference and division," focuses on the McLellan’s famous ‘The Perfect Kiss’ photograph. The scent itself boasts notes of candied spices like cinnamon and cardamom, while hints of carrot, ginger, and orris butter bring the fragrance back down to earth. The scent ends on a blend of patchouli and papyrus.

"Distance and separation have been a recurring theme in recent years and I wanted to capture a scent that makes up for this fragmentation, said Ben Gorhan, founder and creative director of Byredo. "Moving away from screens that mimic closeness, we could be more in tune with each other if we simply close our eyes and shut out the physical world."
