Exhale by Jeremy Geddes is Filled With Suspended Subjects

The latest solo art exhibit titled Exhale by Jeremy Geddes is just as impressive as his previous ones. His paintings are so realistic, those not familiar with his work will mistake them for photographs. Of course, they would think the images were doctored photographs considering how surreal the subject is.

All of the people featured in Exhale by Jeremy Geddes are impossibly suspended in mid-air as if the center of gravity just shifted. His first solo show in the United States, the Melbourne-based artist created 17 new artworks. Although they appear to have a similar theme, one in which the surroundings are either desolate or fractured, the exhibit is both somber and cathartic. It is being shown at Jonathan LeVine Gallery.
