Assa Studio Limited Launches the Evolve Footwear Capsule

Assa Ashauch from the London-based Assa Studio Limited unveiled its new project in the form of the Evolve Footwear collection. It is a progressive fabrication method in the form of shoes as it sits on top of a 'biometric evolutionary' gel midsole foundation. This is embedded with a network of 3D-printed sensors following various prototype iterations of the shoe.

The slew of sensors are lined up to collect biofeedback to mainly improve the shoe's fit for wearers but also aid with informing and shaping upcoming versions of the shoe's namesake. Other elements of the innovative fabrication include color-changing particles that are informed into the conductive fabric throughout the upper. The shoe is made from thousands of gel particles that are manufactured by Sratasy.
