The ESUB Tracks Smart Bicycle Helmet Keeps Cyclists Safe

The ESUB Tracks smart bicycle helmet is a tech-equipped safety solution for cyclists that will provide them with a comfort-focused way to stay safer when heading out on their next ride.

The helmet was developed by the WertelOberfel design studio and features a self-adjusting fitting system that will work quickly to ensure a snug fit upon placement on the head. The helmet is powered by a small Nano Arduino development board and is powered by a set of printed organic batteries.

The ESUB Tracks smart bicycle helmet was explained further by the designers who said, "The unique helmet shape derives from wrapping flat printed organic photovoltaics around the helmet form in order to use the whole surface for recharging the printed organic batteries to power all electronic components. The design concept originates from an EU funded collaboration between designers and material scientists, material suppliers, end-users and manufacturers. It explores how novel materials can help to improve safety and the user experience while commuting or cycling for leisure."
