Empty Can Crafts Transform Pop Cans into Pop Culture Sculptures

Using materials commonly found in recycling bins, Empty Can Crafts are impressive sculptures of fictional pop culture characters made from a wide variety of beer, soda, energy drink, and cocktail cans.

The fantastic creations are the work of Japanese artist Makaon. Although not much is known about her, based on the number of cans needed to make these sculptures and other posted on her website, she's most likely an avid drinker.

Most of the works are made from multiple cans stuck together to achieve a desired color scheme. The Mario sculpture, for example, uses red Coke cans for the hat and shirt, black Coke Zero cans for the mustache, hair, and shoes, Suntory Kinmugi cans for the overalls, and canned cocktail drinks for the gloves and face. However, there are some that are fashioned entirely out of a single can, making her craftsmanship all the more impressive.
