Elena Lloveria Lowers the Size of Grandious Music Icons

It doesn’t matter how big the ego of esteemed music icons, as the Amsterdam-based illustrator Elena Lloveria pays a diminutive tribute to them. The artist designed CD covers with cartoon baby images of stars like Michael Jackson, Marylin Mason, Kiss and Prince.

The animated illustrations are quite comical and suggest an interesting parody of pop culture. Although Lloveria is good at capturing the main characteristics of the singers, one can't help but feeling slightly sorry for them. For instance, Michael Jackson’s cover has a small printed message that says "includes bonus track Leave me Alone." Thus, the artist is certainly poking fun at pop culture and deglorifying its main musical protagonist.

Elena Lloveria represents pop culture in a cute, humorous way and, simultaneously, she is not afraid to create small versions of big stars.
