This Ghanaian Education Program Brings Teachers to Remote Communities

This education program focuses specifically on using virtual teaching methods in order to bring access to education in Ghana. From UK-based Gems Education Solutions, Making Ghanaian Girls Great ensures those in remote developing communities have an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty by giving girls the change to attend school.

Remote teachers are brought into the classroom through projected video, when teachers aren't available to teach in person. Currently teachers from Ghana's capital (Accra) are being utilized. While it is of the utmost importance that girls receive an education and are empowered, finding local solutions is what works best for empowering developing communities as a whole. So far 72 government-run schools are involved in this education program.
