AT&T Park, Home of the San Francisco Giants, is Producing Its Own Food

AT&T Park in San Francisco was already known for its sustainable food culture -- and now has introduced its own edible garden.

Last summer, AT&T Park introduced a new locally sourced gourmet food menu, in keeping with San Francisco's amazing foodie culture. Now, it's topped that move by planting an edible garden underneath the Giants' scoreboard right by the field. The garden produces fresh, homegrown avocados, berries, tomatoes and kale that the park's concession will use in its delectable gourmet fare.

The 4,320 square foot patch is made even more sustainable by its innovative gardening techniques. The edible garden's plants are grown in raised beds and watered by aeroponic towers, meaning that they use 95% less water than they would via traditional agricultural methods.
