Daimler Truck announced its second electric truck, an industrial-focused vehicle titled the 'eConic.' This is a bulky, heavy truck that is intended for use in city waste collection and waste disposal systems. This truck will produce significantly fewer carbon emissions than its diesel-powered competitors. However, this does not come without a cost, as the eConic reportedly costs three times as much as a diesel-powered garbage truck.
Several eConic truck units have been presold to companies, and more models will become available for purchase soon.
