Christensen & Co Arkitekter's Green Lighthouse Project

While this eco-friendly lighthouse is gentle on the environment, it's incredibly stimulating for the visual senses as it's a very unique pieces of modernist architecture.

"The building is going to serve as a showcase for sustainable building at the UN’s Climate Conference here in Copenhagen in December later this year," Arch Daily says.

The eco-friendly lighthouse, which is carbon neutral, was designed by Christensen & Co Arkitekter who incorporated green features to optimize use of the sun to regulate inside temperatures, integrating features like photovoltaic panels, solar shades, LED lighting, VELUX skylights and Velfac windows.
