Echoes of the Deep is a series of sculptural lamps which are developed by Romanian design brand Askia Furniture that combines illumination with sound-absorbing performance. The pieces draw inspiration from the movement and forms of underwater life, with each lamp shaped like an abstract fish silhouette and finished in PET felt made from recycled plastic bottles. PET felt is chosen for its acoustic properties, absorbing and diffusing sound to improve comfort in interior environments while supporting sustainable material use. The collection adapts to different spatial needs with multiple configurations of shapes and sizes.
Each lamp is carefully designed to integrate LED lighting elements with acoustic performance, offering both ambient illumination and noise control. The modular nature of the collection allows combinations of individual lamps to be arranged for diverse interior layouts.
