Auction Site Physical Stores

The eBay Pop-Up Shop in London is a UK First

Although an eBay pop-up shop has already had a presence in New York City, the online auction giant hasn't yet opened a physical space in the United Kingdom. At the beginning of December, however, this will change.

London's eBay pop-up shop will open on Soho's Dean Street between Dec. 1 and 5 and will house an area with laptops for browsing eBay's website as well as a small selection of eBay's 200 best products. These items, which include a House of Fraser dress, can't be bought and taken home but can be scanned via QR codes, which will take the buyer to eBay's site to complete the purchase. The customer then gets the product delivered to him a few days later, says Wired UK.
