Differing Dust Photography

Klaus Pinchler Focuses on Varieties of Everyday Particles

The dust photography of Klaus Pinchler is slightly out of the ordinary. Instead of clouds of dust being captured in midair for a mysterious aesthetic, this series of imagery focuses on the different varieties of piled dust found in private rooms, public spaces and everything in between. Pinchler was inspired to focus on dust photography after moving out of an old Vienna apartment. He noticed no two piles were ever the same.

Full of personality and small discoveries, the dust photography series focuses on macro shots that bring every single detail into sharp relief. From subway stations to bedrooms and pet stores, he collected these unique specimens to study and share. In a way, his dust photography shows that everything has its own personality.
