3SIX0 Fold-Up Tables Make Way For Dance Floors

What do you do when you run a restaurant, but also want to cater to stand-up cocktail parties? Move all the tables and chairs? No way!

Design firm 3SIX0 went to the drawing board to come up with a solution to cater to both scenarios. They came up with the idea to divide the restaurant in parallelograms so they can use the space more efficiently and have the tables fold-up against the walls.

The result is a sleekly designed restaurant that transforms itself from one space into another.

"It’s the same idea as parallel parking," explains designer Kyna Leski. "You can park more cars when they’re set at an angle."
