Color-Changing Spirits

Marks & Spencer's New Dry Gins Change Color When Tonic is Added

In an effort to compete with all of the innovative new gin options hitting the market, Marks & Spencer has teamed up with the Edinburgh-based distillery The Old Curiosity, to launch a new lineup of color-changing dry gins. With many millennials on the lookout for creative ways to step up their cocktail game, the new spirits are sure to be a hit.

As part of its collaboration with The Old Curiosity, Marks & Spencer has debuted two new flavored gins: The British Rose Dry Gin and The British Lavender Dry Gin. Both spirits are 100% naturally distilled and made with aromatic florals from The Old Curiosity’s herb garden. The twist is that when each spirit is combined with tonic, the drinks magically change color due to the fact that tonic alters the pH of the spirit, along with its original color and scent.
