Rather than pots, the curtain comes with over 100 pockets that are designed to hold fresh flowers, letting homeowners decorate their own curtain with their favorite species.
Draped Flower Curtain was created in collaboration with Akane Moriyama, an artist who works frequently with delicate materials. The curtain itself is made out of woven paper threads called Washi (made out of bamboo, hemp, rice, wheat, or jute), giving it a delicate lightness that is only exaggerated by the flowers that it holds. That weaving was done through an ancient, traditional Japanese technique that's registered on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
