Smooth Multi-Use Trays

Shinya Yoshida's 'Drape Collection' is Pleasingly Tactile

By Japanese designer Shinya Yoshida's estimation, some things, like his new 'Drape Collection,' can just be things. The attractive multi-use trays have no specified purpose, encouraging people to simply enjoy them for what they are and use them in whatever way they see fit.

The smooth resin trays come in three different molds and a variety of different colors. Consumers can combine those colors, which are typically softer pastel tones as a result of the resin from which they're made, into any palette that is most attractive to them.

Further, the contents of the trays are entirely dependent on the users. They function as attractive desk ornaments that can hold office supplies like pens, paperclips, and staples, or they look equally good as a piece of decoration on a coffee table holding curios or small snacks.
