Robert (Ideal Idea) Pushes the Boundaries of Terrarium Design

Robert, the mastermind behind the YouTube channel Ideal Idea, has pushed the boundaries of the DIY terrarium category with this impressive creation—a DIY terrarium enveloped in a "massive icosahedral infinity mirror."

The project began with Robert deciding he wanted more plants in his living space but also being mindful that he has not been the best caregiver of plants in the past. So, he decided to build an enclosed environment that can self-sustain itself but he wanted to be challenged. An icosahedron is essentially 20 triangles that are joined together to form a closed shape. There were a few challenges that Robert needed to overcome if he wanted to build a functional DIY terrarium—ensuring the shape is watertight, can stand on its own, and reflect light internally. In the end product, Robert includes bright LEDs and lines the structure with one-way reflective panels.
