Hyatt Worldwide and Apple have joined forces to offer a digital hotel key in a bid to help make the guest experience even easier for travelers when staying at a hotel. The initiative will see the hotel key available inside the guest's Apple Wallet on their iPhone, which is rolling out to six properties in the US to start with more coming in the near future. The digital keys work alongside the World of Hyatt app where guests can make a reservation and be provided with the option to add the key to their Wallet.
The digital hotel keys will also provide guests with the ability to skip the check-in and will be notified on their smartphone when their room is ready for them.
