New York-based coffee chain Devoción Coffee is known for its premium menu and subscription service -- spotlighting authentic and global flavors. Founded by Colombian-born business owner Steven Sutton, the company recently opened it's first-ever Cascara Bar in New York's Nomad neighborhood.
The bar celebrates an ingredient that is described as the "coffee cherry," a combination of the fruit and skin of coffee seeds and is the first of its kind in the city. In past years, Cascara was seen as a byproduct of production rather than as an ingredient but has gained popularity recently, being used as an alternative to tea leaves.
The Devoción Cascara + Coffee Bar serves four varieties of its signature beverage in Original, Ginger Lemon, Cherry, and Cassia Lime flavors. The location is also home with chef-curated baked goods also spotlighting cascara
