The MoMA design store is a store filled with some of the coolest and most forward thinking pieces of art and design on the planet. It’s about to become even more eclectic by selling items from successful Kickstarter campaigns.
Kickstarter and the whole Internet market has become so big that even the big museums of the world are taking notice. The Museum of Modern Art understands the prominence of the movement and have decided to jump n the train early. It’s going to be involving itself in a mutually beneficial partnership that sees items whose funding periods have ended getting a renaissance in their store.
In exchange, the design store gets a bunch of new, funky items to show off and an injection of artistic life, by showcasing successful pieces from all across the Internet.
